Welcome to the Department of Environment & Local Government Procedures Manual

This WSNTG Procedures Manual collects into one place the information from current Departmental circulars and other guideline material that is relevant to the planning and implementation of Water Services Projects.

The Manual is intended to be a useful information source for a Local Authority Engineer for the various activities and statutory requirements that might be encountered in the course of a Water Services Project.

The Procedures Manual will be maintained on the Procedures Page of the WSNTG website, and will be updated regularly as new circulars and guideline materials are issued.

The various procedures are intended to convey the requirements contained in the circulars and other support material, but do not contain the full text of the circulars themselves. For this reason it is possible to link from the Manual Procedures to the full text of the relevant circular at any time.
